Prior to insulation, call us to perform a framing inspection to ensure the house was framed properly per the design drawings. We inspect the framing structure on the basis of Code compliance, plan compliance, proper load transfer, and structural long term performance. After performing the framing inspection, we provide a report that lists the items that need correction. Subsequent re-inspections may be requested to ensure all of the items have been completed properly. A final “sign off” letter sealed by a professional engineer will be provided.

A single oversight could cost several times more to repair than the cost of the inspection. Obviously the size of the house and complexity would dictate the cost of the inspection. Also, if several field changes require onsite analysis or if numerous mistakes were made that required design solutions, the cost of the inspection would increase. To get a “ballpark” idea, the price of the initial framing inspection is about a third of the design fee. The minimum inspection fee is $500. Please contact us for a more accurate estimate.
